Product Owner, MedHelp

The role

We are now seeking an individual who wants to play an instrumental part in supporting our business growth as a product owner.  This is a job that requires strong analytical skills and the ability to break down business requirements into understandable and relatable terms and you need to have experience working as an agile product owner preferably with SaaS products.

With the rapidly changing e-health landscape, we at MedHelp believe it's key to be at the forefront and capitalize on its possibilities. The role requires a self-starter with strong communication and problem solving skills, and the ability to work in a moving environment always focusing on the product deliverables. The successful candidate will also need to be comfortable working as part of a team with colleagues across a diverse range of functional groups spread across multiple geographical locations.  You are expected to help shape our way of working and the product operating model. The position is based in Stockholm.  The candidate needs to be fluent in Swedish.

Main areas of responsibility

The Product Owner is responsible for maximizing the value of the product resulting from work of the Development Team. The Product Owner is the sole person responsible for managing the Product Backlog


  • Own, maintain and prioritize the product backlog

  • Define Epics, facilitate feature mapping, break features into stories, define acceptance criteria, information classification

  • Work with product managers and peers to formulate our product vision, strategy and roadmap and define major Epics

  • Be the voice of the customer and provide a business perspective on value during day-to-day development

  • Collaborate with the development manager and/or architect to run successful Release Planning and Sprint Planning sessions, as well as Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives

  • Work with the Agile team to ensure all stories are delivered in high quality and be the final decision maker for prioritization of the teams work

  • Accepting or rejecting the dev team’s work results; ensuring development decisions stay aligned with business needs, and any issues that arise are addressed as quickly as possible

  • Responsible to describe the desired user experience, validate it, enhance it, for all applicable technology solutions

  • Desired skills and experience

Minimum of 2 years relevant experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Analyst in a commercial SaaS company with a highly agile (Kanban, Scrum, XP) environment

Preferred qualifications

  • +3 years of relevant experience working as a product owner for SaaS products

  • Healthcare industry experience
